Technology Is Your Best Friend

Ideally, if you are too busy to cook for you and your family, you can easily check out online services to help you with meal planning.

Personally, I used these services when my work schedule got out of control and cooking the low carb foods became overwhelming.

There are already several apps that offer different options to support healthy eating.

Moreover, some enable users to count caloric intake, while others provide alarms that remind users to take in water or supplements.

For example, other applications pave the way for healthy meal plans available over the course of a week, coupled with delivery services.

Likewise, search for reviews of the top prepared meal delivery services and check whether the meal plans are appropriate for your diet and the delivery services fit your schedule.

Generally, you can access the meal plans online and there are even some that accommodate certain requests such as customizations in the delivery dates and times.

Eating Snacks – Yes, You Can Eat Healthy And Enjoy Them!

Subsequently, one of my big downfalls involved eating snacks, especially at night when watching TV.

I would eat healthy all day, and then when nighttime arrived, I would pull out the chips and some sweets and bam! This ruined my entire day.

Now, that all changed by learning a few simple tips and sticking to them. I still crave junk food at night, but I no longer grab the bad stuff!

More importantly, there are instances where people tend to skip meals, not because they want to fast, but simply because they are too busy to even get up from their desks and eat a full meal.

Hence, it is advisable to always have snacks accessible anywhere and within reach. These snacks don’t mean chips and cookies, rather, snacks mean nuts and seeds or dried fruits.

If you choose to eat healthy snacks on a low carb diet, be sure and choose snacks like nuts, seeds, string cheese, and peanut butter.

Make it a habit to store packs of dried berries or raisins in your office drawer, for you to have something to munch on any time of the day when hunger strikes.

Fill a typical cookie jar with vegetable chips instead of traditional chocolate chips. Have an apple or a banana on your desk or on your countertop.

Above all, apart from contending hunger, frequent snacking can be great to implement in your diet routine because it tends to speed up the body’s metabolism.

You can also snack on foods like Rainbow Salsa! It’s delicious and good for you too!

Plan To Eat Healthy And Stick To It

As simple as it sounds, planning a meal and preparing it beforehand is a good way to keep on eating healthy even with a busy schedule.

For example, I made sure to plan my meals one day in advance. For me, this worked out perfectly especially since the meals I planned, my husband also enjoyed.

As a result, he lost over 15 pounds without really trying. What a great perk and he continues to eat healthily as a result.

Set a time and day to do the planning. It could be on an easy Saturday morning while everybody in the household is still in peaceful slumber.

Also, set a time and day to prepare the meals on the menu. It could be on a Sunday afternoon for instance.

There’s are so many meals you can prepare beforehand and store them in your freezer. These can last for an entire week.

Preparing vegetables ahead of time is easy and you can pre-cut and divide them into ready-to-go portions.

Likewise, you can also prepare breakfast foods such as oats on a jar or overnight yogurt parfaits. In this way, one is sure to beat the morning rush.

  1. Thanks for this Carolann. I always seem to make excuses when it comes to eating healthy. And these old bones of mine are telling me to stop already with the junk snacks and meals that are slapped together “just coz we need to eat”.

P.S. I forgot to tell you yonks ago we tried your recipe for pepper-crusted roast beef with the unpronounceable brown gravy, and it was delicious

  2. Hi Michelle,
Oh wow! I love that recipe. lol Yes, those French with their fancy words. We make it all the time and love it. I’m so glad you liked it too! Yes, since May of last year I decided to stop the nonsense and start eating better. No sugar, no junk food (cept for come chips once in a while lol) and lost over 50 pounds. I love sharing what works for me when it comes to things I’m learning along the way. I never call it a “diet” just a lifestyle change and I’m so glad I did. Thanks so much for stopping by. It’s always a pleasure hearing from you.
