Home-Made Spinach and Feta Cheese Pies!
A recipe for homemade Spinach and Feta Cheese Pies that will impress everyone! Just the other day, the hubby and I visited our local Arabic Restaurant for some genuine yum, and one of the food items we ordered was a spinach pie. Well, needless to say, it was amazingly delicious, but I couldn’t help notice the price – One single pie was $4.00.
Now, I’m not cheap and will pay whatever for good food, but I thought – wow, I could make these myself and probably for far less. So, behold my version of the Spinach Pie. Come and see how I make homemade Spinach and Feta Cheese Pies! And check out all of our other delicious recipes too!
Mine look the same, taste better, and cost half of what I just recently paid! And talk about easy! Just follow the below images and bam! Easy as pie :)
All you need to get started is Puff Pastry Sheets
Two bags of steamable spinach and some Feta cheese. I like the crumbled type. Mix them together in a bowl with some salt and pepper. I also add fried onion too!
You will want to saute the spinach and onion with some butter and oil and get it nice and golden brown. Then, remove from pan and let it cool. Once it’s cooled, you can add the feta cheese!
Arrange your pastry sheets and swipe with some melted butter.
Stuff each slice with the mixture – you should be able to get six sheets out of one package.
Glaze the pie with some more melted butter.
Arrange on your pan – be sure to use PAM or similar product for pan prep. Bake on 375 for about 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Don’t they look amazing?
Golden brown and full of goodness!
Look at the flakiness – the first bite was heaven! These were so easy to make – they were a great lunch too especially with a salad.
