How To Easily Create A Charming Farmhouse Lighted Jar
It’s so easy to create a charming farmhouse lighted jar. I use mine as a nightlight in my bathroom, and it adds a beautifully lit decor element to my space. Created from burlap, rope, and lace, you will love this lovely. You can easily make one too. It takes no time at all and the payoff well, charming!
You will need the following:
- Glass jar – this can be any size jar or candle holder
- Best Glue Gun
- Decorative Burlap
- Lace Ribbon
- Braided Jute Rope
- Paint – I used Rust-Oleum’s Chalked Paint in Blush Pink
- String lights – Battery operated
- Decorative Decoupage Cut-Outs
I was in a farmhouse kinda mood and made these beautiful Farmhouse Mason Jars too from the same materials.
You can do so many crafting projects with this rope! The ideas are endless!
I love this burlap. It adds so much rustic farmhouse charm wherever you add it.
This lace surely does pretty things up. I have plenty leftover to create more works of farmhouse art too! There’s something about pairing burlap, lace, and rope together, it’s so romantic and adds the right amount of charming to any decor.
I started with this plain glass candle holder. I knew I would able to transform it into something cute. I only used one coat of paint because I didn’t want it to be opaque so the light can filter through. My plan worked perfectly!
The rest is super easy! Just glue the burlap, lace, and rope to the glass jar. You can make any pretty pattern you like!
I used Wallies Wall Decals for the floral element. I use them for so many beautiful crafting projects! Below, you can see Amazon has a wonderful assortment to choose from.
I love using this farmhouse lighted jar as a nightlight in my bathroom. It adds the perfect amount of light I need to see as well as some decorative farmhouse charm.
At night, the light peaks through the burlap. It creates a wonderful atmospheric decor element.
The floral paper has an adhesive on the back so it was super easy to place. The battery operated lights work great too. You can also use electric string lights too if don’t want to deal with replacing the batteries – although, they do last pretty long.
You can let your imagination guide you – as long as you have the tools, you can create your own masterpiece!

This is such a clever idea. I love the battery operated twinkling lights.
Cute craft ideas! I pinned both to my Crafts to Make board. I love that roll burlap, too. I sent some to my daughter-in-law last year when she and my son were getting ready for their wedding. They used a number of burlap things for their bridal shower and wedding tables. Thanks for these fun ideas! :)

So cute. And love that the lights are battery operated. Cords aren’t nice to have around…so ugly. Love working with burlap. This is a great little project. Xo Susie
