March is National Craft Month, and I’m sure all you crafters will be busy creating masterpieces! As you all know, Mason Jar crafting is HUGE and has been for some time now.

It’s challenging to find a project that hasn’t already been created when it comes to Mason Jar crafting, and that’s why I am so excited with my Farmhouse Mason Jars!

Since Farmhouse decor is also a “thing” and I’ve come to discover the charm and elegance of it, I decided to create my spin on Farmhouse decor and created these stunning Farmhouse Mason Jars. These stunning Farmhouse Mason Jars are the perfect gift for Mother’s day too!

This is what I used to create my Farmhouse Mason Jars.

It was so much fun creating them. Here’s the process!

I started by painting my Mason Jars with Rust-Oleum paint in CHALKED Ultra Matte Paint in the color Blushed Pink. How I love this color!

I have some upcoming projects that I will be posting soon using some of their colors from this line. It’s a dreamy chalked paint, and the finish is like no other!

I am so in love with this Rust-Oleum® Chalked Ultra Matte Paint. It creates an ultra-matte finish with superior adhesion and coverage and rejuvenates furniture and home décor elements with timeless elegance.

It can be painted or distressed, giving any project a one of a kind look with a vintage feel.

It’s the crème de la crème of chalk paint!

Once painted, you can even leave them as is – they are so stunning in the Blush Pink!

Next, I added my decor elements using Mod Podge. Mod Podge is great for so many crafting needs and makes everything so much easier.

You can use your imagination and decorate these Mason Jars anyway you like. I love using the rope, burlap, and lace elements. The Mod Podge dries clear so no need to worry about being overly neat with it.

Once all of my elements were in place, I let them dry for at least a few hours without disturbing them.

The results were stunning!

The decorative lids made it so easy to slide my makeup brushes in and place them on my vanity for easy access! You can also use them to house your lip pencils, eyeliner, and other makeup items too.

This burlap is perfect for creating wreaths too. And of course, I have a wreath project planned soon too!

I love the detail of the natural jute rope and lace. You can be as creative as your imagination allows you to be.

Amazon also sells beautiful lace and burlap for crafting you can use as well. I love it!

This rope has so many uses. I’m planning to create some roped chargers for my tablescape too!

This lace is so delicate and beautiful. I can’t wait to use it for my other crafting projects too.

  1. When it comes to mason jar crafting, I totally agree that it seems like everything has been done. But I don’t think I’ve seen your idea anywhere. Congrats to clever you! I so love the blush pink basecoat of paint behind the lace. And the open-top lids for storing items, too. So smart. Well done! :-)

  2. Hi Carolann: Well done on creating a new idea using mason jars. I have a soft spot for soft pink and lace. These little jars manage to be useful, shabby chic, farmhouse and one of a kind. Love the idea.

  3. Hey Carolann…I did not know that Oriental Trading sold craft stuff! What a fun resource for those items. And I know you’ll enjoy using those mason jars. Great storage idea.

    Thanks for sharing your ideas.

    Hugs, Lynn

  4. These are so pretty! I love making over mason jars, it’s so fun, and there great for storing all kind of things. I didn’t know about Oriental Trading, I will have to look into that. Thanks for sharing your beautiful jars.

  5. Burlap and Lace and Blush Pink, what a wonderful combination. Feminine and rustic both. These jars are wonderful. Wish I had some.

  6. Did you put anything inside the jars so the makeup brushes would stand up? I have some brushes that are not as tall as a mason jar?Did you use points or quart jars? Thank you

  7. Hi Sharon, in some I did yes, I got those little beads and filled up a few jars with them but to be honest, I like it better without them. I think it’s easier that way for me anyway. I used both pint and quart sized jars. I have smaller brushes in the pint-sized one and larger brushes in the quart sized one. Hope that helps. I do love using them.
    thanks
    Carolann
