I chose paint colors that would reflect the overall glam look I had in mind.

I’ve tried so many chalk paints and this paint was amazing! The coverage was spot-on and the colors – stunning!

So, here’s a little backstory about the piece I chose to restore. I’ve owned this vanity for almost twenty years. I purchased it as an antique, so I can only imagine how old it is now. I decided to give it to my daughter a few years ago as I bought a new vanity and was excited to pass it along to her.

Unfortunately, this is what she did to it. Don’t judge her lol. She ended up using it for crafting projects and that’s how it ended up looking like this!

With a lot of prep work. I was able to keep motivated when I revealed the reason I loved this vanity in the first place!

This vanity was beautiful in its day and I knew with some TLC and some of the best chalk paints on the market, I could bring it back into my life once again!

It was a challenge no doubt. With some nails, power tools, paint in hand, and some inspiration – this is how it turned out! I also used a wax glaze over it to ensure I don’t damage the finish with all the makeup use every day. Even though you don’t have to use a glaze over it – I decided to.

I’m so excited to have this vanity back in my life again. I love having so many drawers for all of my makeup! I love the decorative knobs I purchased. I think they really add a nice pop of color too!

I also love the colors I chose. The gold beams against the black truffle!

I love staging photos but this is how it really looks after all of my makeup is at home and my things are in place.

No shame here! This is my makeup obsession after all!
