Comfortable Bras – Is That An Oxymoron?
Comfortable Bras – Is That An Oxymoron?
When it comes to finding comfortable bras,
When it comes to finding comfortable bras, it really does seem like those two words together create the perfect oxymoron. As a large breasted woman, it has an even more realistic meaning. Turns out that finding a bra that lifts, separates, and supports is next to impossible. What about the digging, rubbing, and pinching – these are things nightmares are made of.
it really does seem like those two words together create the perfect oxymoron. As a large breasted woman, it has an even more realistic meaning. Turns out that finding a bra that lifts, separates, and supports is next to impossible. What about the digging, rubbing, and pinching – these are things nightmares are made of.
I always thought bras were designed by men. I mean, they had to be, right? They are so uncomfortable only a man would have designed them. Well, it turns out, I was wrong. After some research, I discovered a woman did invent them!
Vogue magazine first used the term brassiere in 1907 and by 1911 the word had made its way into the Oxford English Dictionary. On 3 November 1914, the newly formed US patent category for “brassieres” was inaugurated with the first patent issued to Mary Phelps Jacob. In the 1930s brassiere was gradually shortened to “bra”.
I honestly can say I can’t remember ever being completely comfortable in a bra – until now! I took a chance on some bras from a company called The Coobie Store, and I’ll never turn back. Of course, I wanted to share this most comfortable and stylish bra with you all. Words can’t express the joy I’m experiencing wearing them.
I love how these Coobie Bras look with my new summer outfit too – I have all the support I need and comfort I could ever hope for!
There’s no uncomfortable underwire to deal with and, you get more support too! Coobie Bras even features a removable padding too. Prosthetics fit perfectly in removable padding pocket as well. They are so easy to wash as well – just machine wash with like colors, hang, or lay flat to dry. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or tumble dry. I also like to handwash my bras too.
Coobie Seamless Bra Scoopneck is one of the most popular styles. They are available in neutrals and fun colors too! The best part is one size fits almost everybody. They are super soft & stretchy and comfortably fits sizes 32A to 36D. No kidding – they really do fit that size range perfectly!
I thought I would start with 4 Coobie Bras and choose the following:
Coobie Bra Scoopneck – I choose the Custom Tie Dye Blue color called Whimsy, and it’s so pretty and fun to wear!
They are all seamless, so no hooks or clasps. The back is smooth and super comfortable. The straps are adjustable & removable, and each has removable, reversible padding. Now, I don’t have to deal with plastic hooks digging into my back. Everything about these bras is pure comfort!
I love the pops of color and fun patterns too. They are great for any summer outfit for sure.
Then I choose the Coobie Bra Lace Coverage – Their best-selling Coobie Seamless Scoopneck bra now comes in a more modest version – The Coobie Lace Coverage Bra!
A beautiful lace panel across the front provides a perfect cover up for one’s cleavage. It’s still a “one size” bra with adjustable straps and removable pads. If you want the comfort of their Scoopneck but a little more coverage, than this is the one for you. Fits a 32A thru a 36D.
I love wearing it with a lower cut blouse too to reveal the beautiful lace work! Talk about comfort! I am so thrilled I finally found comfortable bras – my life has truly changed for the better because of them!
Next up, is one of my favorites. It’s called the Coobie Comfort Bra – This bra features extra wide, fixed straps that are sure to please. Also has removable pads. It’s made of the same extremely comfortable, stretchy fabric as the original Coobie Seamless Bra and available in 8 different cute contrasting striped colors and 8 bright heathered colors (limited edition). This one size comfort bra fits approximately 32A-36D.
I actually look forward to wearing a bra now! I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth!
And last up, I got the Coobie Comfort Bra in a Floral Pattern – we all have to have at least two black bras, right? The fit is heavenly and the straps never dig or twist. I finally found comfortable bras that are not only beautiful but more comfortable than any bra I’ve ever owned! I love how they are available on Amazon too for easy shopping.
I hope you get to experience these comfortable bras too. If I find them comfortable, I know you will. I’m so fussy when it comes to finding comfortable bras and, I’m so thrilled and excited to share them with you!

Thanks for discovering these comfortable looking bras..the narrow strap style is my favorite design…so straps don’t show with summer tops! I have been buying over-the-head cotton bras at Walmart for years..pkg of 3 for 9.99, but your selections are much prettier & better quality. Sometimes I like to brag about being rather ummm.. flat chested..makes bra selection easy..don’t need any special support..ha!
Hi Susan! You got that right lol. It’s not so great having larger breasts that’s for sure lol. I do love these bras and gosh, I will never go back to wearing those torture devices ever again! Always great hearing from you, Susan. Let me know if you ever try them!

These are just the cutest and most comfortable looking bras I ever saw. I especially like the tie-dyed ones. I like your little history of the bra story. I remember my Mom using the word brazierre, OMG- so embarrassing- LOL.
Thanks much, Sue. I can’t express enough how thrilled I am with them. I will never go back to those uncomfortable torture devices again lol
