Recipe For All-Natural Bathroom Cleaning Product That Works
Whether you are a clean freak or not, this all-natural bathroom cleaning product will make your cleaning easier and healthier too! I clean my bathrooms nearly every day and am excited to try a bathroom cleaning product that’s all-natural, and eco-friendly. Making your own also, it saves money too!
I spend a lot of money on cleaning products and don’t get me wrong, I love them and will continue to buy them. It’s nice having an alternative product I can use for those days when I don’t feel like hauling out my stockpile of cleaning products.
After making the first batch, I decided to cut the recipe in half. It’s so easy to make, so I didn’t mind making additional batches if needed. Below, you’ll find the recipe. Feel free to make any size you like by doubling the recipe.
Recipe For All-Natural Bathroom Cleaning Spray
- 1/2 Cup Baking Soda
- 3 Tablespoons Table Salt
- 1/2 Cup White Vinegar
- 3 Tablespoons dish liquid
- Essentials oils: 3-4 drops of Blood Orange & Lemon (you can add any essential oil you like)
- 1/2 Cup Water (you don’t have to add water but I thought it needed a little thinning)
- 1 Spray Bottle
- Funnel
Directions:
- Pour all the ingredients in a spray bottle and add a few drops of your favorite essential oils for fragrance.
- Shake before each use, spray surfaces and wipe clean.
The reason I chose Lemon Essential Oil is not only because it’s one of my personal favorites but, it’s great for cleaning too. It has a fresh clean scent and it is also antiseptic, anti-fungal, and antiviral too! Lemon is also an air disinfectant and is invigorating and energizing as well.
The Blood Orange Essential Oil helps stimulate a cheerful and positive mood and when we are cleaning, we can always use that! It has antiseptic properties and is great for an all-natural bathroom cleaning product.
Note: Whenever you mix baking soda and vinegar together you will see foam and lots of it. Be careful when mixing and do it slowly. You can use a funnel for pouring the ingredients into the spray bottle.
As you can see below, it will foam up so mix slowly and add some water if you need to.
You can add any dish soap you prefer, but I love Dawn Ultra Antibacterial Dish Washing Liquid Soap or Gain Ultra Dish Washing Liquid Soap is really nice too! Any Gain products have amazing scents!
I didn’t use coarse salt in this all-natural bathroom cleaning product but, it might be interesting to try for my next batch.
As directed, mix up the ingredients well before using. I sprayed generously all over the vanity, tub, and bowl.
I’m thrilled with the results! Finally, an all-natural bathroom cleaning product that works great! By the way, if you love the wallpaper in this bathroom, be sure and check out how we installed it.
My bathroom was clean, shiny, and it was so easy to make and use. I’m so glad I found an alternative cleaning product. It’s nice to use on those days I just don’t feel like using or smelling chemicals. I hope you get to try it soon too!
