Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 1/3 cup AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Dark Chocolate
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Pinch of coarse salt
- 2 tablespoons crushed pineapple in juice, drained
- ½ cup American Heritage Finely Grated Dark Chocolate, melted
- 3/4 cup salted peanuts, roughly chopped
Instructions
Puree1 banana until very smooth. Thinly slice remaining banana; set aside. In a
heatproof bowl, combine half and half, AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Dark Chocolate, sugar and salt and set
over a pan of gently simmering water, stirring frequently until chocolate
melts, about 5 minutes.
Add cornstarch, banana puree, and pineapple. Stir until mixture thickens, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly before stirring in strawberries.
Pour mixture into 10 to 12 popsicle molds, filling each 1-inch below the top. Use a popsicle stick to press banana slices into each mold cavity. Place lid on mold and insert popsicle sticks according to manufacturer’s directions. Freeze at least 6 hours or overnight.
Briefly dip molds in a bowl of hot water to loosen. Remove popsicles and transfer to a baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Drizzle with melted AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Dark Chocolate and sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Store in freezer until ready to serve for up to 1 month.

- ½ cup cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cup AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Dark Chocolate
- ½ cup hand crushed pretzel sticks
Instructions
Using an electric mixer, beat confectioners’ sugar, peanut butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until light and fluffy, about 4 to 6 minutes. Scrape the mixture onto a sheet of waxed paper and fold over to seal. Press gently to form a disc about 1 inch thick. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour or overnight.
Using a 1 tablespoon scoop, form the mixture into 1 inch balls. Set on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until firm, about 30 minutes.
Combine AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Dark Chocolate and cream in a heatproof bowl. Set over a pan of gently simmering water and stir until
smooth. Remove from heat.
Using a fork, dip the peanut butter balls in the chocolate mixture one at a time, coating evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl,
then transfer to a wax paper-lined baking sheet. Garnish with crushed pretzels while the chocolate is still warm. Repeat with remaining truffles.
Store truffles in the freezer until ready to serve for up to 1 month.
Notes
It’s important to hand chop the pretzel sticks that you use to garnish these irresistible treats, as they will become too pulverized in a food processor.
