Easy and Delicious Chopped Beef and Rice Recipe
This is one dish that is a staple in our home especially those nights when I’m in a no-fuss kinda mood. I’ve been making this dish for the family for as far back as I can remember and it’s always a hit.
Clean up is a breeze too! Oh! At times, I’ve also added some french green beans in the can to this dish too. It’s great to add a veggie to this dish so you don’t have to make a side dish as well!
All you need is the following ingredients to get started.
Ingredients
Chopped Beef – I generally use about 1 1/2 of low-fat chopped meat. I try to purchase the 90% lean.
1 large Onion
2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
Garlic Powder – to taste
Onion Powder – to taste
Salt & Pepper – to taste
Soy Sauce – to taste (this is used to top over the rice when cooked)
Minute Rice
Directions:
Chopped onion – you can make them any size you prefer. We tend to chop them on the large size.
Prepare skillet with the cooking oil.
Add onions and let cook until slightly golden.
Add spices
While onions and spices are cooking, prepare your rice. Minute rice works great with this dish.
Add chopped beef and toss around constantly until brown.
Remove from stove and plate
Once rice is done, plate alongside the beef and top with soy sauce.
And there you have it! A quick, easy, and delicious meal that’s bound to please even the picky eaters in your home.
Below, you find the easy-peasy steps!
I hope you get to enjoy this dish. For about $13 you can feed at least 5-6 people and even have leftovers. You can’t ask for better than that! It’s far cheaper than steak, and I enjoy the taste better too!

Hi Carolann, nothing like ground beef for a quick meal, and delicious, no matter which ingredients you combine! Though, not as inexpensive as it used to be, for sure.

I like that the recipe uses lots of onion. I just love spices, so as a little tweak, I will sprinkle some red pepper flakes while cooking the beef.
