ORIGINS Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

I wanted to talk to you today about the ORIGINS Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash. I like to link directly to the Sephora site if you are interested in checking it out directly for yourself – and if you care to, you can buy it from there as well.

My Thoughts: I happen to appreciate a cleanser that provides a healthy lather, and this cleanser does just that. As per its name, it really is frothy. It’s not overly foamy but provides just the right amount of lather to make sure that deep-down clean we all want in facial cleansers. I’ve tried so many facial cleansers, and I keep going back to this one. You get that clean down to the pore feeling after using. I would highly recommend this product. I’ve used it for years with no issues or concerns. I know for a fact that my skin is in better shape since implementing this into my skincare regime.

I also have two other favorite cleansers and will save those for another review. After you rinse this off, your face feels very clean and smooth to the touch.

Price: the 5 oz size is around $25.00

Application: You only need a pea-sized amount for application. This is an important point to remember as many of us tend to overuse products and send money right down the drain along with your bubbles.

Scent: The aroma is a crisp and clean one so for those of you with sensitivity to strong perfumes, no worries here! It does have a rather pleasant scent that isn’t strong or overwhelming. I would call it a refreshing light scent for sure.

Skin Type: I tend to have combination skin, like most folks, and therefore always moisturize after cleansing. I feel any cleanser will leave your skin on the dry side, so you will want to be sure you moisturize well. and continue with your skincare routine.

Cautionary note: I don’t use this as an eye-makeup remover as it’s really not designed for that use. I only use products on my eyes that are specifically designed for them.

Sephora Info:

What it is:
A face cleanser that cleverly balances dry and oily places.

What it is formulated to do:
When it comes to faces with dry and oily places, it takes a clever cleanser to balance the two. This gentle, frothy face wash carefully does both jobs without canceling each other out. Skin feels comfortably refreshed after cleansing, never tight, pulled, or parched.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

What else you need to know:
Broadleaf kelp extract discourages excess oil production while wheat protein balances and protects dry-prone zones. Tourmaline actually makes water wetter to more easily disperse dirt and sebum down the drain. Best for all skin types, aromatic bergamot, spearmint, and lavender add pleasure to the process.

I love the list of ingredients and it’s super foamy too which is always a plus.

  7. You can get glowing skin on top of many other health benefits from snacking on watercress as a snack or a meal; either way it will be good for your skin. Not only does it positively affect your skin, it has antioxidants and some iron that help you in other areas regarding your health.

  8. I guess it would depend on how combination your combination skin is. I have mostly dry skin/partly oily (around the nose) and, depending on the season, very dry skin so this wouldn’t work for me. Any cleanser that has a lather even if it is full of emollients tends to dry me out. I like the fact that the Origins company uses Natural and Organic products in the manufacture of their skin care line, that’s good for the planet and you and me even if I can’t use their product. Good review and really loved the pics. Nice touch!

  9. Thanks much for your lovely comment Lydia. I too have dry skin and for some reason, this product does not dry my skin out. It’s one of my all time favorites as far as cleansers go that’s for sure. And this post was not sponsored by them so I have nothing to gain in my total honesty. I do love Origins products – they are so natural and make my feel…well..just good when I use them. Thanks much for stopping by. Have a great week!

  10. It looks great..I will surely use this….very thanx for giving this products information..
