How Infrared Lasers Are Redefining The Skincare Industry

Infrared lasers are truly redefining the skincare industry. They peaked my interest when a member of my family decided to get treatments for brown spots due to over-exposure from the sun. I was jaw-dropped when I saw the results. Her skin was completely transformed. Her sun spots were virtually gone! That’s why it’s so important to wear sunscreen at all times.

I had another member of the family use infrared laser treatment to remove excess and unwanted hair. Another jaw-dropping moment. It again worked flawlessly.

Are you suffering from skincare issues too? Well, you might want to find out more information and learn just how infrared lasers can resolve your skincare issues.

Sagging skin is something that you don’t have to live with if you don’t want to. There are plenty of ways to tighten it up, and not just surgical ways. In fact, surgery should really only be a last resort when your skin problems are way out of control. As long as your wrinkles and sags are only moderate, or better yet mild, you can make them better using a variety of options, including lasers.

One popular type of laser is the infrared type. Infrared laser treatments are also known as “Titan” laser procedures in skincare clinics. They differ from other laser procedures in some ways and are similar in others.

Here’s a list of what types of skincare issues infrared laser treatments are good for”

  • Loose or sagging skin
  • Scars, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne
  • Rosacea and birthmarks
  • Stretch Marks
  • Superficial scars
  • Color (pigment) changes or defects in the skin, such as liver spots, port-wine stains, or café-au-lait spots

I’ve contemplated using infrared laser treatment for some skincare concerns of my own. I have some sun spots as well as unwanted hair issues that I am excited to use this treatment for. I will keep you posted after completion of my treatment with updates about the results and process. Below, you will find some great information if you are thinking about using this revolutionary treatment as well!

I also reached exactly what the word laser means in the skincare industry and found out that the word laser is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.

The Ever-Changing Laser Skincare World

The world of laser skin care procedures is an ever-changing one. Laser skin care devices themselves have been around for decades but updated aesthetic technology is being developed all the time. Infrared lasers are fairly new to the skincare scene, as laser devices go. But they have made a huge impact on the way that many skin care technicians and patients view laser treatments.

Tightening Your Skin with Infrared Laser Technology

Infrared lasers use particular bands of light and levels of heat to treat skin with minimal discomfort. Infrared treatments are typically done in clinics where trained machine operators can monitor and control your comfort level throughout the entire procedure, making them among the most comfortable laser treatments available.

In addition to being relatively comfortable, infrared lasers can also be quite effective. They cause existing collagen to contract, allowing skin to appear tighter and smoothed out more than before the treatment occurred.

Not only can existing collagen be influenced by the laser devices, but your body is likely to start making more collagen after an infrared treatment, which means that your skin will continue to heal for a while after you walk out of your laser appointment.

Undergoing an Infrared Laser Treatment Consultation

Before you can have your first infrared laser procedure done you will need to sit in on a consultation session with your clinician. During that consultation, they will verify that you are a good candidate for the procedure. If so, they will tell you what you need to do in order to get ready for the event.

Preparing for a laser procedure is fairly simple. You just have to remember to notify your clinic ahead of time if you are on any medications. You may be advised not to take those medications around the time of your appointment, or your clinician may just have to monitor you carefully during the procedure.

It is also important not to wear any chemicals or sprays, such as perfumes, on your skin the day of your infrared laser appointment. Other lists of dos and don’ts will be provided during the consultation as well.

Expectations Associated with Infrared Laser Treatment

You should not go into an infrared laser treatment expecting your skin to look perfect the second you emerge from the clinic. In fact, any positive results may be obscured for a while by temporary redness or swelling. But you don’t need to revisit or call your skincare clinic unless you find that your side effects are extensive and out of control, which is very rare.

Nevertheless, even if you have mild side effects or none at all you might not get fantastic results from only one treatment, depending on the severity of your sagging skin. You will most likely have to schedule several more appointments in order to smooth out the wrinkles the way you want.

I’m super excited to use this emerging technology to resolve some of my skincare issues. Using laser treatment is so much safer than opting for surgeries!

  3. Hi Susie! I can’t wait to use lasers on my face. It’s kind of expensive that’s the only reason I didn’t do it already. Saving up! I have so many friends who have used it for everything from hair removal to dark spot removal and it worked great every time! Why do these things have to be so expensive? lol
