5 Reasons Why Your Home Needs An Evaporative Air Cooler and Humidifier

Sharing is Caring! ❤️

It wasn’t until recently that I discovered how important it is to keep the air in your home healthy and the moisture level balanced. Did you know that an imbalance of humidity in your home can create potential health problems? After some research, I knew we needed an evaporative air cooler and humidifier to keep the air in our home moist and balanced.

You don’t have to live in dry climates to need an Evaporative Air Cooler and Humidifier in your home. We live in PA and still find our home dry and uncomfortable, especially in winter. Years ago, my daughter started suffering from nosebleeds. The doctor recommended adding and humidifier to our house, which would help her nosebleed by adding much-needed moisture to the air in our home.

I purchased a small humidifier for her bedroom, and while it did help, the rest of the air in our home was still very dry. I could feel it drying out my skin which is part of the reason I’m obsessed with skincare products

Here are just some of the reasons why your home needs an Evaporative Air Cooler and Humidifier:

1 – Dry air and preventing unhealthy living conditions – Our respiratory system requires a delicate balance of requirements to stay healthy. Our throats and nose contain moist membranes, and these membranes are hard at work, capturing dirt, dust, viruses, and bacteria before they reach our lungs. We need to keep proper humidity levels at all times to help these membranes do their job properly and prevent harmful particles from entering our lungs. You need to control the right amount of moisture in the air to avoid illness and keep the air healthy in your home and your body.

2 – Dry air is not good for your nose – as I mentioned earlier, my daughter suffers from the occasional nosebleed and needs the air to be moist enough to prevent them. Since most breathing happens through our noses, love humidity levels can cause the inside of the nose to become dry and irritated. Keeping the air in your home properly balanced can allow nasal passages to be healthy, moist, and comfortable.

3 – Your skin needs the perfect amount of humidity to be healthy – I suffer from dry skin, and it’s a constant battle. It not only affects the skin on my face but my body as well. Since our skin is composed of more than half water, it’s pretty apparent just how important keeping our skin perfectly balanced and hydrated. Dry skin can cause a multitude of skin problems. Overly dry air can cause conditions like eczema and acne too. Owning an Evaporative Air Cooler and Humidifier in your home can help prevent and treat these conditions and keep you from having a miserable winter.

4 – Static electricity and what you can do about it – If there’s one thing that drives me mad – it’s static in my hair. When our air has enough moisture, the electricity dissipates before becoming a problem. It helps to reduce those annoying shocks you feel, too – you know the type of static I’m talking about, like when you touch a light switch or touch a blanket or your freshly done laundry. Keeping the air in your home moist and balanced will prevent bad hair days and keep those nasty shockers away too!

5 – Dry air can damage your home, too – When we have dry air in our homes, it will try to absorb moisture wherever it can find it. It will even pull water from the structure of your home! As your house dries out, the floors, like hardwood, will begin to creak more frequently. In addition, dry air can pull the moisture from the frame, causing your walls and doors to jam and shift. With the doors and windows not closing and sealing properly, your heating bill can rise as well, causing your wallet to suffer the consequences of dry air. Dry air can also damage your furniture, which means anything made of wood in your home.
