Easy DIY Home Decor Ideas You Can Make Yourself
Decorating your home can be an expensive adventure, but there are so many DIY Home Decor Ideas you can tackle while keeping the cost of projects down.
Doing it yourself gives you much satisfaction and saves you lots of money. Below, you’ll discover some great ideas for you to gain inspiration.
When you decorate a space, you get to show off your style and personality. You can spice up a room with a piano if you love music, or you can keep the room’s look very minimal if you lead a simplistic life.
Since most people buy their homes with a 15-year or 30-year mortgage, and home prices have increased over time, the amount of home equity people have typically increases as they get older. If you have a mortgage, you have a home.
If you have a home, you have a place to decorate. While decorating can seem overwhelming, there are so many easy, do-it-yourself projects you can do to make it feel even more like a space just for you.
DIY Table Centerpieces
I love creating beautiful table centerpieces. They are so easy to create and saves you a fortune when it comes to DIY Home Decor Ideas that are much more affordable to create yourself then purchase.
Recently, I made this beautiful Stunning Artificial Succulent Garden Centerpiece for my dining room table – it’s one of my favorite DIY projects from last year. Use your imagination and create just about any table centerpiece you want. You might even have the products right at home too!
DIY Tape Art
If you love art, you might be familiar with the fact that it can be extremely expensive. So why not make some art for yourself? There are so many different options for personalized wall accents. For example, DIY Joy says you can create tape art. I love this project be sure to head on over and see how it’s done.
Tape art is easy because all you need to do is place tape in different shapes all over a blank canvas. Then, you take different colors of paint and paint all over the canvas and over the tape. Once it dries, pull the tape off and reveal your latest piece of art!
Scarf Wall Art
Buzzfeed suggests that you take random accessories and hang them on your walls as art. They say you can take a scarf, no matter the shape, and pin it right up on your wall. Now, just make sure that the scarf actually looks like art.
So, use one that has a cool print or design. You also need to make sure that you iron the scarf before hanging it up unless wrinkles are a part of the look you’re going for. You might also decide to put the scarf in a frame to give it a classier look, as well.
Paint Swatch Masterpieces
HGTV came up with a really inexpensive way to spice up your walls. All you need to do is head to your local hardware store and pick up some paint swatches to create an abstract piece of art. Grab a bunch of them and arrange them however you want.
If you’re looking to create a piece that is very put together, arrange them in color order. Place them all in a frame and hang them on the wall.
Who knows, maybe you can get a toddler to create some wall art for you. I’ve seen less impressive wall art posting as decor that’s for sure. :-P
DIY Window Art
