Scones are one of the most delicious ways to enjoy breakfast, a side snack with a cup of tea, or a great grab-and-go treat for those days when you are in a hurry.
If You Love Scones, You’ll Flip Over These
Scones are known to be comforting, delicious bundles of warm, lightly sweetened biscuits that will satisfy the need when craving the perfect comfort food. I’ve tried making scones before, and yes, they were delish, but with this recipe, I can proudly say I nailed it!
I love Earl Grey Tea and realized combining it with my scone recipe would be a match made in heaven. Of course, I went to my favorite tea company, Stash Tea, to make these delicious triangles of goodness!
Be sure to check out Stash Tea’s social media pages too!
You can find them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest
Early Grey Stash Tea is one of their best sellers and an all-time favorite by millions. Earl Grey is black tea scented with bergamot, an oil extracted from pear-shaped Mediterranean citrus about the size of an orange. It has a distinctive flavor and a lightly fragrant aroma, making it the perfect ingredient for these scones.
The Best Scones Ever
If you never made a scone before, you must try these. If you don’t know what a scone is, they are a British baked good, usually made of flour, wheat, or oatmeal with baking powder as a leavening agent and baked on sheet pans. A scone is often lightly sweetened, occasionally glazed with egg wash, and topped with a lightly sweetened glaze. You can see the bit of Earl Grey goodness peeking through each scone.
These Earl Grey Raisin Scones with Vanilla Glaze are so incredibly delicious we couldn’t wait to eat one. They are best served warm, and if you really want a decadent comfort food treat, you can top them with butter, too!
You can see the bits of Earl Grey Tea in the mix below. Don’t over-mix the ingredients. Just give them a few good pulses in your processor.
Be sure to cut your delicious scone dough into perfect little squares.
Always remember to line your baking pan with parchment paper. It’s super important!
Then, carefully remove the squares and place them on a cookie sheet for baking.
Don’t forget the yummy egg wash, too, which adds to the overall crispy outer layers.
All prepped up and ready to go into the oven at 420 degrees for about 12 minutes.
I love having a scone with one of my favorite Stash teas, Pomegranate Raspberry Green Tea. This tea blends thirst-quenching pomegranate with the zing of natural raspberry flavor, green tea, and matcha.

Well, maybe so, but that statement is based on truth! Maybe I’m a scone fanatic or just love baking and eating them. They truly are the most delicious comfort food I bake.

Let me know if you have any questions about the process, and most of all, enjoy!
Recipe looks amazing! Will certainly give it a try. Perfect for my next book club meeting. I still do not own a food processor, and will do it the old fashioned way, by hand, with a pastry cutter. Can’t wait! Thanks so much! ????
Hi Naomie! You will love them! It’s the best scone recipe I’ve ever tried. We had them for breakfast too and boy, were they delish! Let me know how they turn out for you. Oh yes, you don’t need a processor. I always love using my hands too lol. Always a pleasure hearing from you!

Might this taste as good as if you were to use Lady Grey tea? ????????
Oh yes for sure! I think there are many different types of teas you can use in this scone recipe. That’s why I love scones so much. You can tweak the recipes by adding anything you love into them. Thanks for stopping by.
