- Now, you’ll want to disconnect the water supply tube or your hose to the tank itself.
- Disconnect the refill tube attached to the top of the overflow pipe.
- Then, unscrew the bolts that hold the tank to the bowl – you can find them underneath the tank itself. If they refuse to come off, you can spray them with some lubricant to help loosen them.
- After that, reach inside the tank with a long-slotted screwdriver. This will keep the tank bolt from turning while loosening nuts under the tank with an adjustable wrench. Then, you can remove tank bolts.

- Simply reattach the flapper chain to the flush lever arm and then reattach the full tube to the new overflow pipe.
