How To Transform Furniture From Blah To Beautifully Bold
If you are like me and love pops of color in your home, you’re going to love this too!
A little backstory about this piece before the reveal. I love eclectic pieces in my home. And, I love using pops of color too. They really cheer up my mood and when I see color in my decor, it makes me smile and puts me in a good mood! I guess that’s reason enough right?
With that said, the hubster and I were out shopping in this quaint little town not too far from where I live called Jim Thorpe, they have lovely shops and unique things to buy there. That’s when we saw this.
He fell in love with the statue clock and, I just couldn’t say pass to something he really loved. I liked it too he was perfect for the top of the stairs. The wooden stand was featured with it so I knew we had to have both. I wasn’t in love with the stand but bought it regardless. I left it that way for a few years until I decided to transform it. I knew exactly what it needed – color!
A huge shout out and thank you to Country Chic Paint for the awesome, stunning, and beautiful paints and supplies. Without them, this transformation would not have been as amazing as it turned out to be.
Look at those colors! Wow! I knew they would give me the pops of color I was looking for. The metallic paint is divine!
So, I began my journey into the world of bling, and I am so pleased with the results. Even the hubster loves it – and that’s saying a lot. He actually noticed it ( I once hung new curtains and it took him two weeks to notice!) He loved the transformation and that meant a lot to me since we picked this clock statue and stand out together.
I think I can stand by my words when I say I transformed this piece from Blah to Beautiful!
After painting it in the red color, I used cloth and dabbed the gold as an accent color. I loved it and went wild with it!
It gives the perfect pop of color that I was looking for.
All it takes is a little imagination and some great paint!
Oh! This is where it really lives – upstairs in the foyer. The lighting upstairs wasn’t as kind as the light downstairs when I took the pics.
