Suddenly Sassy
Suddenly Sassy
I’m always searching for ways to use lighting in my home in a creative way. There is something very comforting about soft lights at night in your home. I have no intentions of making it look like Christmas in here, but I do love the gentle glow of twinkling lights.
I saw a beautiful set of lights when I was in Staples, yes Staples. And they were displayed on their clearance table and, I think I paid $2 for them which blew my mind because they were originally over $10.
I decided to place them around my antique statue clock and see how they looked. I loved it.
Here is what it looked like before the lights.
And this is after the lights.
You can really appreciate the soft glow at night. It’s a little hard to appreciate the lights in a picture.
And now, my statue clock is suddenly sassy! You can turn anything you have in your house into something suddenly sassy!
And as always, thanks so much for visiting my site and if you like this post – Suddenly Sassy – please subscribe via email below and never miss a post again!

LOL sure thing…sounds like a great idea. I have the home tour page but that static images. Thanks for the idea GF!
I think your idea whether consciously or unconsciously may be withdrawal from Holiday decorating. I missed the Christmas lights and decided to decorate for Valentines Day. Party City has great strings of heart lights which are quite retro looking. I also wove a string of white lights into a flower garland above a painting which hangs over the fireplace.
Definitely adds a bit of sparkle to the dark hours of winter.
Hi Maureen, so good to hear from you! lol you might be right about that. I do love the lights of the holidays a bit too much. Oh that sounds lovely. I wish I had a fireplace to decorate. It must look amazing at night! I love that sparkle at night! Have a great weekend!
