Johnny Depp Auctions His $3 Million Kentucky Bluegrass Horse Farm
Gossip abounds with the latest news that Johnny Depp is auctioning his Kentucky horse farm! Johnny Depp is a household name that’s for sure and since the passing of his mother last year, he decided to auction off his $3 Million Kentucky Bluegrass Horse Farm. Pun intended, Mr. Sissorhands himself is cutting ties with this property which he purchased twice already. The first time he purchased it was in 1995 and he paid $950,000 for it and then repurchased it again for $2 million. Clearly, he bought this property for his mom, Betty Sue, and with her passing is now up for auction.
Below, you will find a beautiful property tour of this property and some adorable horses!
This beautiful estate with a spectacular location is just 2 miles from the world-renowned Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, KY! This property is situated on 41 acres and is currently set up as a horse operation. There are 3 barns, 15 stalls, 10 automatic watered paddocks with a guest house/managers quarters.
Johnny Depp was obviously close with his mom and even wore a tattoo of her name on his arm.
This farm is located at 5493 Versailles Road and the estate includes two horse, barns, paddocks, a four-car garage, a guest house, and manager’s quarters. This beautiful 5,944-square-foot main farm also features 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths.
This farm and its grounds are simply beautiful. I’m sure Johnny Depp spent many happy hours there enjoying life with his mom – minus Amber Heard of course!
This lovely kitchen doesn’t seem to fit well with the farmhouse theme, and I’m sure it was updated.
The decor is a dead giveaway that his mom was in full control of the interior design elements.
If you look closely, you can see Johnny Depp posters and other signs of assorted bibelot decorated about the farm.
Not Johnny Depp’s clothes hanging in this closet that is for sure!
I’m sure he bought this huge kickin’ TV for his mom!
The framed art looks expensive – possibly another gift from her son?
A massage chair right off the dining room? Must be nice having a son like Johnny Depp to make sure you start the day stress-free!
I can see Johnny popping over for a visit and relaxing in this huge chair with his feet up on the ottoman. Can you see him sitting there with his phone in hand?
A room for the grandkids possibly? Or maybe some of her family lived with her in this huge farmhouse. Clearly, she has a lot of grandchildren as per loads of photos in every room.
Lots of bedrooms for sure and all have that farmhouse feel to them.
I love looking at the details of every room – notice the fine art on the wall – clearly, his mom loved fine art and I’m sure he bought her all of it! I love the track lighting in the home as well. Not very farmhouse at all but awesome!
Plenty of bedrooms that’s for sure!
I think she surely loved her “stuff” – the house is full of posters, pictures, and the memorabilia is off the hook!
There are lots more images too and if you want to see them you can head on over to the auction website. If you love looking at home tours as much as I do, be sure to head on over to check more stunning home tours out!
Would you love to own a horse farm like Johnny Depp? Well, I guess he has no reason to own it anymore – don’t feel bad for him; he owns 14 other homes strewn across the globe!

14 other homes, omg yes. Wonder if he still has that island. I love the property and house with all its bedrooms and other room. A wonderland for his Mom that is for sure.
Oh, my this just spins me out!!! Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor!!!
lol thanks, Yuni. That house is truly beautiful and yes I guess she did love that carpet. I’m not a fan of her decor but the home is stunning! Have a wonderful weekend.

Yep, 14 homes…nuts…right? I do love the house but her decor was dated. I love the grounds too. Stunning home!
I love this house and property. The decor is dated but I’m sure the new owners will perk it up. What a stunning home for sure!
I had no idea that he owned so many homes. A horse property may be nice. Mostly I think that it is lovely that he wanted to take care of his mother.
Hi Elise, Funny thing is, this house didn’t sell at auction! It was a flop for some reason. I can’t read to read why. I thought it was a beautiful home. Yes, I love that he took such good care of his mom.
