Natural Defense

There are plenty of plants that are natural mosquito repellents that can do a fine job and rid of mosquitoes. These include Eucalyptus, Lemon, Citronella Grass, Lavender, Marigolds, Catnip, Rosemary, Basil, and Scented Geraniums. Unfortunately, the plants don’t release the mosquito deterring chemicals unless these are attacked by something. Therefore you’ll need to rough your plants up regularly to ensure they are releasing these chemicals.

You can also position and light citronella candles to help deter the mosquitoes from your garden and lawns.

Check Your Color

This is appropriate in the summer when you probably prefer pastel shades anyway. If possible, always wear long sleeve shirts and pants not shorts when you are outdoors.
