If you are looking for a summer destination for camping trips, we have a few ideas below for you to consider in the next few days. Europe has everything to offer tourists who want to benefit from a well-deserved break from their day-to-day affairs.

Choosing a camping site will provide you with a base to enjoy the good life, lying by the pool or benefiting from the various facilities. Meanwhile, you can also head out on discovery days in the nearby main cities. Here are the three regions we chose for you: Tuscany (Italy), Côte d’Azur/Provence (France), and Costa Blanca (Spain).

What Do These Locations Have In Common?

For one, they are all located close to the sea, which will offer you the possibility of spending a few days at the beach, if you so desire. Secondly, they all benefit from 4 to 5-star luxury camping sites, which will guarantee a quality stay in luxurious accommodations with lots of facilities to choose from.

Finally, they are all close to important cities you can visit once you get there. Here, you can see the destinations for your camping holidays next summer.

Tuscany (Italy) Dreamy Camping Trips

If you have never seen Florence, this is your next destination. You will believe that you are dreaming when you will catch your first glimpse of the city from the point of view nearby, where you will be looking at it from atop.

Moreover, it will remind you of many historical films you have seen, retelling love stories from different times. The Duomo is worth visiting Florence by itself, and the walks you will take on its streets will fill your phone camera in no time. That is because beauty resides in Florence.

You can choose one of the camping sites located inland, which is closer to the city, or you may decide to stay by the sea, near Livorno. If that is your destination, you won’t want to miss the city of Pisa and its famous leaning tower. Those who travel often know how easy it is to be disappointed by famous sites. That won’t be the case here.

You must enter the tower and climb up to feel the optical illusion effect. You won’t believe your eyes, and your mind will go, “Wow!” In Livorno, you must visit the port and take time to walk around the aquarium. Of course, being near the beach, you should also get to spend a few days bathing in the Mediterranean Sea.

Côte d’Azur/Provence (France)

If you choose the Côte d’Azur/Provence tour, we mention in this article, choosing your camping holiday site will be essential. More so, since the region has a lot to offer, better to choose a central location, from where you can visit as many sites and cities as possible. Two choices would make more sense than others in this case.

If you want to stay by the beach, Camping Holiday Marina, a 5-star luxury camping ground close to St. Tropez, is the right decision to make. There, you can live the good life on the days when you want to shoot the breeze, and when you feel like heading out, you will still be close enough to the cities that you won’t want to miss, which are Nice, Marseilles and also Cannes, especially for those who follow their renowned film festival, yearly.

If you would rather be inland, your best option is Camping Domaine de la Sainte Baume, located close to three beautiful towns that will amaze you: Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence, and Avignon. The latter is simply spectacular.

Furthermore, if you arrive there between July 5 and 25, you can catch a theatre play at Le Festival d’Avignon, which is popular in France. Also, you can tour the Provence region, where the natural colors of lavender, sunflowers, and red poppies will greet you. The only problem with the Provence is that you may never want to leave.

Costa Blanca (Spain)

We kept the real beach life for last. Spain is undoubtedly the country to head to in the summertime if you want to bathe your toes in the sea. Camping Almafra will be your destination, from where you can quickly get to Benidorm, the city that parties throughout all the warm months.

Moreover, this is a place where you will meet new people from all over Europe and can dance all night and sleep at its beach all day. On days you need to rest, the camping pool complex will be the ideal solution, as you can sip on a pina colada or cool water without having thousands of people around you. That is why camping holidays are so great.

Furthermore, you need to keep at least one day visiting nearby Valencia. Of course, this city offers so much to its visitors. It all starts with its famous aquarium, the largest in Europe. You will feel amazed even before entering the facility because of its unique modern architecture.

There are many activities that the aquarium offers. Amongst them are animal training and everybody’s favorite: diving in the shark tub. In this establishment, you will have as much fun as you will get to learn new things.

Visiting this city full of nature will bring you much joy. Once you leave the aquarium, head to the Bioparc Valencia, a one-of-a-kind zoo that will make you feel as if you were on a safari. Of course, this is because there are no cages in this park. Animals roam free so that you can get close to them. It will also be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make friends. And with one of the cutest animals in all the world: the lemur.
