At 12,296 square feet, the mansion has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, formal public rooms, a library, and a cook’s kitchen geared to entertaining on a grand scale.
Chris Evert’s Florida Tennis home built in 1995 and sprawling across the acreage, all rooms are quite large with many beamed, vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors with fireplace in the formal living room.
A well-equipped outdoor kitchen tempts everyone outside for an informal pool party or hotdogs and hamburgers after a rousing game of tennis at the court, some leisurely putting on the golf green, or a vigorous workout in the gym.
Chris Evert’s Florida Tennis home had to feature a pro tennis court, too. Evert was the teen tennis idol of millions of her fans who packed the tennis courts in the ‘70s.
The main house encompasses all things luxury with six bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a formal living room & dining room, and a library.
The unique appointments throughout include custom woodwork, a fireplace, a wet bar, hardwood, and tile flooring. The custom woodwork is definitely one of the highlights of Chris Evert’s Florida Tennis home.
The dining area is filled with earthy tones and rich wood ceiling beams. Varying patterns and textures pull the overall look of this space together perfectly.
There’s also a smaller dining area as well. Chris made sure to add the same earthy tones throughout her home. It touches every aspect of her home, from floor to ceiling.
The kitchen is also reflective of the natural and earthy architectural woodwork throughout her home. The wood beams and vaulted ceilings are a unique and stunning feature of Chris’s kitchen.
The foyer areas are carefully designed to reflect Chris’ personal taste, with a framed tennis racket and a quote close to her heart.
Chris was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, into a tennis-fanatical family. Her father was a coach, and all four children became expert players.
There are also two guest houses, a nine-car garage, and a barn on the property converted into a gym and home theater.
The grounds and pool are just as beautifully designed as the interior.
Moving on to continue in her profession, marriage, and family, Evert resumed her life in Florida after her retirement from professional tennis in 1989.
She has since been operating the Chris Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton and helps coach the high school tennis team where she graduated. Now, at age 63, with her children grown and with lives of their own, she is selling her large Boca estate.
