Easily Create Beautiful Christmas Ornaments

You can find plenty of homemade ornament ideas online, but many of them are simple and generic. That’s fine if that’s what you’re looking for, but if you want something more unique, then look no further! We’ve looked all over online to give you the best tips for making beautiful Christmas ornaments.

It can be difficult to find the best ideas for making your own Christmas ornaments at home, but looking into Decor Fácil instead of big-name box stores for Christmas ornaments and ideas gives you a more personalized experience. If you want more intricate and beautiful decorations, you can make them at home.

Christmas Ornaments

You’ll find more classy ideas, and this is what we did when putting these tips together just for you.

One of my favorite homemade darlings is these Charming Vintage Christmas ornaments. They were super easy to make and look so sweet and lovely on my tree. Be sure to head on over and see exactly how they were made.

Color Scheme

A go-to color combo. Anyone can get behind it is red and green. Keep it classy and traditional with color coordinating your ornaments, whether they’re homemade or store-bought. However, you can customize the colors to specifically match each other without having to guess if what you decorate with is the same shade of green or red as the other decorations. You’ll have the full control you’ve always wanted without having to curse different ornaments being just one shade off from the others.

Even if red and green isn’t your forte, you can always try something a little different. Try adding some shine to your decor by replacing the green with gold. It’s more subtle and still classy. Want more sparkly and glamorous ornaments? Try going full silver and gold! It’s a great ode to our favorite Christmas classics. Just get some paint, and any blank canvas you think will bring the colors to life!

Minimalism

Keeping it simple is the way to go if you don’t want to put the effort in. Sometimes we’re busy and don’t have a lot of time to decorate, especially during the Christmas season. Or maybe we’re just guilty of procrastinating putting up decorations, Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. It’s possible to make a huge impact with little touches bringing your desired Christmas to look together.

You can find cheap materials for creating simple yet beautiful ornaments just about anywhere. Nothing a glue gun and fabric can’t help whip together some quick and easy decorations. Just make sure you’re ornaments work well together. Having everything be uniform is key to having the best minimalism look.

Subtle Lighting

You can never go wrong with the right lighting. But, if regular Christmas lights are too pricey, try finding some discount fairy lights. They’re simple and elegant and will help bring out that winter feeling in your home. And they’re sold all year round!

If you don’t want to deal with hiking up that electric bill at all, then opt for candles. They come in all sorts of colors to match whatever color scheme you’re going for. Around the holidays, a bunch of Christmasy scents comes out too! The low flicker of the flame will help set the winter mood for a good price.

Additionally, the adorable set of Reindeer Tealight Candle Holders are a perfect example. You can even find festive Christmas Flameless Candles on Amazon or at dollar stores and still have the same effect as expensive candles.

Natural Setting

Beautifully Handmade Christmas Wreaths and pine cones are always beautiful ornament choices, but they can be so expensive. You can buy fake pine cones and ropes of green garland on a budget. Make your unique wreath(s) unlike anything you’ll see in the stores. You can add whatever you want to these too. Fake cranberries add a subtle pop of color. Spray paint some white can give the effect of a white Christmas.

You can also do stand-alone ornaments with festive pine cones and decorative dried fruit too. Add hooks to them to add to your Christmas tree to make it look like it has real pine cones still growing on it. You can even arrange some in a simple, shallow dish and make it a centerpiece for your dining room.

  1. This is hands down one of the most inspirational Christmas ornament articles. I will be referring back to it a lot.

  2. Just beautiful! You have something here for everyone. When my brother and I would travel, we would pick up different, fun or unique Christmas tree ornaments as a souvenir for our mom. I remember a trip to Texas and I was in Neiman Marcus and found a beautiful hand made dove for her. At the time it was expensive and just about the only thing in the store I could afford. Her tree was full of our travel treasures, hand made and natural elements. When our parents passed, we split up the decor. My brother still puts up lights my dad bough in the 60’s and he has an electric candle that my parents had at their first Christmas together in 1957. Thanks for sharing fun ornaments and decor that are perfect for making new memories.
