Handmade Ceramic Table
It’s so easy to make a ceramic table! It’s one of my favorite pieces and you can make one too. I made during the time I was recovering from a thyroidectomy…yikes! I think I took all of my healing forces and threw them into this table. All the hard work paid off!
I found this lovely table at an antique store and was able to transform it visually right there and then. You can really create this with anything you find a mirror, cabinet, chair, just about anything. I also used elements such as broken glass, glass beads, anything pretty and able to adhere to a ceramic tile paste. It took me about 2 months to complete, I did put a lot of hours into it, but as you can see it was well worth it!
I didn’t take pictures of the process because, at the time, I wasn’t blogging but below, you can see how each side has a different design.
I used regular tile grout to adhere the tile and glass pieces to the table. This table has an old metal top. I got really lucky with this find. I placed the table in my entryway and as soon as folks walk into my home they are immediately hit with its presence. I plan on creating another one soon.
As you can see, each side it so unique. I worked hard to create a different perspective from each angle.
I wish I had taken pictures of the process but as I stated, I wasn’t blogging at the time. It was a labor of love and many hard hours of work. Totally worth it!
I hope you got inspired to create something wonderful!
